Game and coarse fishing on your doorstep
Angling is often said to be the biggest participation sport in the country, and Ilkley is ideally placed for it. The River Wharfe is well known as a productive river for both game and coarse fishing, with good stocks of:

- Grayling
- Chub
The river runs right alongside The Riverside Hotel, so you can be fishing within minutes of leaving your room.
Fishing tickets from the hotel
The hotel works with the Ilkley Angling Association, and day tickets for local fishing are available directly from reception. Week and season tickets are available too, and our team are always happy to help anglers however they can.
Remember you'll also need a valid Environment Agency rod licence to fish the river.
